Nat Lofthouse OBE - 27 August 1925 to 15 January 2011

One year has passed since Nat Lofthouse – the club’s greatest ever player – passed away on Saturday 15 January, 2011.

This website serves as a way of remembering and honouring the ‘Lion of Vienna’ for all that he achieved with his hometown club Bolton Wanderers.

With articles that detail his life and times, highlighting the man, the player and the England international, who served club and country with passion, determination, honour and pride.

This website also features tributes from those who knew and worked with Nat, plus a section highlighting how people can donate to the Nat Lofthouse Memorial Fund.

All monies raised from the Fund will contribute towards creating a lasting legacy for Nat at the Reebok Stadium, including a publically subscribed statue and memorial garden.
