RIP SIR NAT
- Janice & Ang
As a young boy I waited outside the Castle hotel to ask Nat for his autograph, many years later, after the1994 F.A . cup tie vs. Oldham I asked him to sign my programme.
Nat's response on both occasions " thank you for asking son ". A true gentleman, a sad loss.
- Colin Rock( lifetime wanderer)
I was never lucky enough to see Sir Nat play live but watching footage of him and his goals makes me cheer as much as if he had just scored at The Reebok.
My Dad is always recounting his experiences of watching 'Lofty' play and the pleasure he gave him.
Have been lucky enough to be in his company on a number of occassions and I have seen his enthuiasm and humilty at first hand. If I thought I was a Bolton Wanderers fanatic, at the side of Nat, i was an armchair supporter.
The club and the town have lost a true gent, a great supporter and a supreme human being.
Condolences to his family and RIP Sir Nat. You will never be forgotten.
